Know the moment anything goes down
Mon watches your websites, certificates, domains, servers and DNS from 7 locations, and tells you wherever your team already is.
- 5 monitors free, with no card
- Checked every minute on paid plans
- One fixed price, by the number of monitors
Everything you watch, and how each one is doing
- 1
See what's down right now
Every monitor's status, uptime and response time in one list.
- 2
See every outage
Each monitor's history, with every outage and how long it lasted.
- 3
Fix it before anyone notices
An alert on the failed check you chose to care about, and another when it's back.
Checked from around the world
Your customers aren't all in one place, so neither are Mon's checks. Something that's down for one part of the world is down.
7 locations, 4 continents
North and South America, Europe and Asia, so an outage in one region doesn't go unseen in another.
Placed for you, or by you
Mon spreads each monitor's checks itself, or you choose the locations it checks from.
Addresses you can allowlist
Every location's IP addresses are published in your account, ready for your firewall.
Everything your site depends on
One account, one set of alerts and one dashboard, for every check your service needs.

Watched over in minutes
No agents to install and nothing to host. Tell Mon what to watch and who to tell.
Step 1
Add what you run
One at a time, or paste a list of sites straight from a spreadsheet. On Enterprise, connect Namecheap, Route 53 or Azure DNS and every domain comes in by itself.
Step 2
Choose who hears about it
Email, Slack, a webhook or SMS, each with its own say in what it hears about and how many failed checks it takes.
Step 3
Get on with your work
Mon checks around the clock from 7 locations, and only interrupts you when something needs you.
Uptime, and everything around it
Knowing something is down is the start. Mon also tells you how slow it's getting, and keeps your users informed.
Hear about it first
When something stops working, Mon tells you straight away - and again when it's back - wherever your team will see it.
- Outages, certificates, domains and records in one place
- By email, in Slack or to your own webhook, and SMS on paid plans
- Alerted only after the failed checks in a row you chose, so a blip stays quiet
- A weekly report covering every monitor
Slow is the new down
Every check records how long the answer took, so a slowdown shows up on the chart before it shows up in your sales.
- Average, fastest and slowest at a glance
- Each check listed, with what it found
- A weekly report covering every monitor
Keep your users in the loop
A public status page shows how each part of your service is doing, and maintenance windows keep planned work from counting against you.
- Status pages for the monitors you choose
- On your own domain if you like
- Maintenance windows for planned downtime
Everything you'd otherwise have to build
Monitoring your own services means running a network of checkers, delivering alerts reliably and keeping it all up. Mon does that part.
A checker network
Checks from 7 locations on 4 continents, so an outage seen from one place is confirmed from others.
Alert delivery
Email, Slack, webhooks and SMS, sent and retried for you - no mail server or SMS provider to run.
Status pages
Hosted pages that show your users how each service is doing, on your own domain if you like.
History and reports
Every check kept and charted, outages timed, and a weekly report to your inbox.
Every kind of check
Websites, keywords, certificates, domains, ports, ping and DNS, from one account.
No upkeep
No servers, databases or updates to look after. The monitoring keeps running while you work on your product.
Priced by the monitor, nothing else
Pick a plan by how many monitors you need, for one fixed price. Checks, bandwidth, email alerts and history are never charged for.
Works with the tools you already use
On Enterprise plans, connect your registrar or DNS host once and Mon imports every domain it finds, picking up new ones as you buy them. On every plan, hear about them where your team already talks.
Namecheap
Every domain registered in your Namecheap account.
Amazon Route 53
Every hosted zone in your AWS account.
Azure DNS
Every DNS zone in your Azure subscription.
Slack
Reminders and alerts posted to the channel of your choice.
Frequently asked questions
Everything about Mon, in brief.
What is Mon?
An uptime monitoring service. Mon checks your websites, certificates, domains, servers and DNS records on a schedule, from outside your own network, and alerts you the moment one of them stops working - so you hear about it before your customers do.
Is Mon free?
Yes, for as long as you like, with no card needed: 5 monitors checked every 5 minutes, email, Slack and webhook alerts, and status pages. Paid plans start at 10 monitors and check every minute.
What can Mon monitor?
Websites and APIs, keywords on a page, page defacement, SSL certificates, domain expiry, ping, open ports and DNS records - all from one account, with the same alerts and dashboard.
Where are the checks made from?
From 7 locations: Virginia, New York, Dallas, California, São Paulo, Frankfurt and Singapore. Mon places each monitor's checks for you, or you can choose the locations yourself.
How will I be alerted?
By email, in a Slack channel or with a request to your own webhook, and by SMS on paid plans. Each contact chooses what it hears about, and how many failed checks in a row it takes, so a single blip doesn't wake anyone.
Can I show my users what's up and what's down?
Yes. A public status page shows how each part of your service is doing, on a Mon address or your own domain, and maintenance windows keep planned work from counting as downtime.
Is there an API?
Yes, on Team and Enterprise plans. Mon's REST API lets your own code read your monitors, their events and your contacts, add, change, pause and delete monitors, manage maintenance windows, status pages and domains, and read DNS records, with an access token from your account.
How is Mon priced?
By the number of monitors, for one fixed price. Checks, bandwidth, email alerts and history are never charged for; the only extra is SMS beyond your plan's allowance, if you choose to buy more.
